Our educational organization, which has the name IC "Giovanni Paolo II", includes three types of schools: nursery school, primary school and secondary school. It offers an initial course for children aged three to five years (nursery school), an eight-year course divided into a five year period (primary school : 6/10 aged) followed by a final three years period (secondary school: 11/13 aged), with final examinations.
The school is situated in a central area in the South of Rome, even if it is very rich in important historical places and monuments as Montecassino and Anagni. However, one of the main aims of the school is to educate students to build "an intercultural society" where minorities are not considered in that way and therefore they need to respect all the rights, to educational inclusion of students with disabilities and disadvantaged and opening to the territory, which are the main points of our educational offer.
In the school, where there are about 900 students, there are lots of subiects, activities, a multimedial lab, a science lab, a ceramics lab, a music lab and facilities, to involve the students. Many teachers and a lot of students will take part in the project; it will be very important for our students to increase their knowledge, to improve all the skills and the self-confidence to communicate in English and acquire a critical awareness based on knowledge of the environment, on respect of the Earth's resources and an eco-sustainable development.
