In 1967 Dimotiko Scholeio Aradippou, the second public primary school of Aradippou Municipality, was established.Thefirst couple of years it was accepting only male students. In 1974, after the Turkish invasion in Cyprus, the number of students suddenly raised, reaching 360. In 1978 it was also functioning as a high school during afternoons.
Nowadays it is working as a primary school with 300 students aged 6-12 years and 16 teachers. Remarkable is a small museum with ancient findings, exposed in the school. A rich garden with plants and trees typical of Cypriot flora decorates the front sight of the school. On the school’s logo you may see Apostle Loukas, the patron saint of Aradippou.
Our vision is all-round development of children. Cooperation and interaction between teachers-students-parents in a democratic and human environment are key factors to success. It seeks to expand students’ horizons by creating a more European oriented education while invigorating their own cultural identity.
